Hi Everyone! Me again…

I have some fabulous news to share with all of you. I have recently been asked to participate and contribute to a new website called www.livefromstageiv.com. As many of you know, since my diagnosis I have been trying to figure out what I can do to make a difference. If I have to have MBC, then I need to find something positive to do with it where I can make a difference. As you know, I have been totally frustrated with the lack of funding going to finding a cure and with all the “pinkwashing” happening. However, I felt hopeless. I am only one person, what the hell can I do about it? Luckily, Beth Fairchild found me and asked me to participate on her baby, lifefromstageiv.com where I can be heard and all of my fellow Mets sisters can too!

LiveFromStageIV.com is the baby of Beth Fairchild who like me, was diagnosed with Stage IV MBC in May 2014. She has also recruited Susanne Kraus-Dahlgren and Vanessa Anderson, both fellow Mets sisters. All 3 of these ladies have been huge inspirations to me since I first found out about my diagnosis last May. They are supportive, knowledgeable, funny, and caring ladies whom I have come to depend on during my weakest hours. I cannot express enough how excited I am to be working with them on this new project to get Metastatic Breast Cancer out there, in the media, and in all of your faces!

As many of you have seen via my Facebook, we are gearing up for Project Hashtag. What the hell is Project Hashtag you ask? Project Hashtag will take place on Monday, March 2nd in the privacy of your own home, at work, on the train, on the bus, wherever you want/need to be. The goal of Project Hashtag is to flood social media with metastatic breast cancer facts and Hashtags. Any one can participate and I hope all of you do! We need to be HEARD and we need MORE FUNDING NOW. The survival statistics for metastatic breast cancer have not changed in 40 years! This is completely unacceptable. We need to get the word out there and we need to get people to pay attention. If a debate about a dress that is either white & gold or blue & black can go viral, we can too!

So please if you have time and can spare a few minutes on Monday, March 2nd use some of our images and post to your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter account using hashtags #BCKills #MetsMonday #DontIgnoreStageIV and #StompOutBC.

You can find more information about Project Hashtag here: http://www.livefromstageiv.com/project-hashtag.html and also at our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/StompOutBC

I look forward to seeing all your posts on Monday!

Beth really knows how to motivate people and put together a great team. It’s wonderful getting to know you in our silly emails back and forth while we work.
